El pleno del Parlamento Europeo ha aprobado un informe para reclamar a los países miembro a considerar el aborto «un derecho humano». Así, insta a los 27 a «eliminar cualquier traba» a esta práctica y a que esté «garantizada por la sanidad pública». Es decir, elimina ‘de facto’ la objeción de conciencia de los médicos.
El texto salió adelante con 378 votos a favor, 255 en contra y 42 abstenciones. El Partido Popular Europeo, que en la comisión dejó sola a Rosa Estarás como voto con contra, volvió a fragmentar el sentido de su voto en el pleno. El ala liberal votó «Sí» frente al «No» del sector más conservador. El partido en el que se integra VOX votó claramente en contra, y lideró, desde el primer momento, la oposición al documento, aunque no fue suficiente.
Con el visto bueno europeo al Informe Matic, el aborto («interrupción voluntaria de embarazo, dicen hipócritamente) adquiere un estatus privilegiado. Los países que se resisten a aprobarlo serán presionados. Nuevas armas para los sectores y políticos abortistas de cada Estado. Es más, su omisión «será equivalente a un acto de violencia de género».
Partido Popular Europeo, voto dividido
Algunos eurodiputados del Partido Popular Europeo, entre ellos Estarás, incidieron en la idea de que el aborto no puede ser reconocido como un derecho humano porque no lo es. Otros miembros de su grupo solo protestaron porque se señale que el derecho de conciencia de los sanitarios «pone en peligro la vida y los derechos de las mujeres».
Por supuesto, el tema a debate no fue «aborto sí, aborto no», o si estamos frente a un derecho humano o jurídico. Como suele ser habitual en los partidadarios de la cultura de la muerte, el tema llegó enmascarado dentro de una serie de derechos sexuales y reproductivos. El adoctrinamiento sexual en las escuelas, violando la libertad de educación y el derecho de los padres a elegir libremente la educación en valores de sus hijos, también iba en el lote.

La eurodiputada Estarás recogía perfectamente lo ocurrido ayer en Estrasburgo: «jamás deberíamos haber llegado hasta aquí. El texto actual del informe no tiene ninguna lógica jurídica y supone un mazazo a la Declaración Universal de Derechos Humanos«.
